“Exclusive Cleans Up”

Sainsbury’s award Exclusive Contract Services ‘Best Soft Services FM Contractor’ at first annual awards ceremony.

Neil Sachdev, Sainsbury’s Commercial Services Director presented Bill Wilkerson, Exclusive Contract Services Managing Director ‘Best Soft Services Contractor’ for 2009/2010. The award was presented at a ceremony held at Sainsbury’s Head Office in Holborn, London.

Neil Sachdev said: “At the start of our 2009/2010 financial year I introduced a concept of creating supplier awards, to recognise outstanding performance across the construction and FM supplier base. Throughout the year we have been monitoring performance and I am delighted to announce that Exclusive have been awarded Best Soft Services FM Contractor. Not only did they deliver outstanding performance but they really lived the Sainsbury’s value of ‘Great Service Drives Sales’. Exclusive consistently delivered high cleaning standards and it was a unanimous decision in recognition of Exclusive’s consistent, outstanding service delivery and overall performance.”

Bill Wilkerson, Exclusive’s Managing Director, was delighted to accept the prestigious award on behalf of the Exclusive team. “I’m delighted that we have been recognised in this way by such a prestigious client. It’s a great achievement for the Company and I would like to thank the staff that have worked so hard to deliver such an exceptional service.”

Exclusive attribute their success to the way they look after their staff in addition to an innovative approach. The industry recognised training programmes that are in place encourage personal growth and career progression. Exclusive has recently been successful in driving forward both NVQ levels 1 & 2 and BICS certification.

“We are immensely proud of our staff that have completed the programs and we have had a terrific response from our contract team, it is clear that trained staff are more motivated and confident in their roles and this has a direct effect on quality,” said Wilkerson.

As part of Sainsbury’s partnering programme Exclusive has been nominated as a preferred supplier and attends regular ‘supplier relationship meetings’. “At these events we work together to understand how to improve the customer experience, improve performance and suggest new and innovative systems and products,” continued Wilkerson.

“We are installing a biometric time and attendance system throughout the contract portfolio. This workforce management solution incorporates a real time attendance platform, automated payroll program and electronic quality monitoring system.
